I've been listening for years, and this has never been the case. Sorry to spring this on you.

Sorry.

Just need a great counter example.

A burglar breaks into your house, kills your kid, rapes and murders your wife, and is coming for you in the garage. He enters and states "I'm going to get you next."

Under the current law, you have to prove you had no recourse but to shoot. Under the new law, it would be the state's responsibility to prove you couldn't.

It's not exactly accurate, but the point is to make a scenario that people can understand what the new law means. It's crappy debate, slippery slope, lowball analogy, but hey... it's what you have to do when you are trying to get things done.

Think of the children. It's how you get things done.

I'd always thought that his failure to include firearms in the Cylinder Index was a tacit admission to anti-gun sentiment.

I think you're wrong about the cylinder index.
As much as my inclination to listen to the show has declined, and while I have no interest in pursuing a high cylinder count, it's always been about internal combustion engines, for the purpose of 'rubbing it the nose' of the epa/ 'green types'.

Now if you were to suggest his show- or most others won't touch firearms with a 10' pole, for fear of alienating listeners and thus advertisers, with that I would agree.

Patrick Reusse is a big Fat Walrus....he's on sports talk on Channel 5 and he can barely fit in the chair....he's north of 350 could be pushing 400.

Patric, The Walrus, Reusse. :D

Beyond the name-calling and physical characterization: Reusse is so liberal as to make Obama blush.

Back in '08, I went to the Saturday Sports Talk Live show. Even then the guy was so grotesquely obese, it was difficult to look at him. I wouldn't begin to guess his weight or measurements, but having known a 400# guy, I think you're in the ballpark. When I saw him, I wondered if he could dress himself.
Apparently he replaced one compulsive behavior(alcohol), with another(see food).

I'm not sure one could make Obama blush, particularly from the left.
Reusse(sp?) does seem to hang on to his small town, prairie populist upbringing, as well as the: 'I've- never-seen-a-plan-for-a-taxpayer-funded-sports-stadium-I-didn't-like' posture which conveniently keeps him employed as a jock-sniffer.

Some people do have medical conditions that cause a person to gain lots of weight, for example my thyroi is failing and I am intolerant of the synthetic hormone. This makes me so very tired all the time, some days just staying awake can be difficult, you have no idea. So since I am obese I should consider myself unwelcome here?

Actually I might have some insights to your plight, but that's another story.
While I really don't care much for Patrick Ruesse as an entertainer or journalist for a variety of reasons, I was far more objective, and non-judgemental with my posted observations than he ever will be with his intellectually lazy BS.
I cannot comment on any possible medical conditions of his, but I would note he seems to be quite fond of dining out.

As to your issues, I certainly wish you no ill. Most people, at some point in their lives are forced to confront potentially overwhelming health problems. I wish you only the best, and as far as you being unwelcome here: I'd not have responded to your post were that the case. If this place helps you cope, then by all means, stick around.... and don't stoop to comparing yourself with people like Patrick Ruesse.
Regards

Nah, just a good natured cheap shot.

Funny thing...I just remembered I photographed him at Kstp for a Magazine article 25 years ago...(I'm a professional photographer)...he was just a 'normal' 'fat guy' then....now he's a state fair prize winning oinker. :o

I met him and I'd think he'd laugh at being mocked, seriously. The more clever the mock, the more I think he'd enjoy it.

but Reusse is really looking like a fat hog in slop.
