a) When the officer asks do you fail the LIE to me test?
b) When the officer asks do you fail the ATTITUDE test?

No attitude, straight forward, no nonsense, it's not a big deal answer can go a LONG way in helping the officer decide on the amount of discretion to use. YMMV

So doesn't this constitute as Profiling? <snip>

So what if it is? There isn't anything wrong with doing so based on a voluntary behavior. In fact, that is the only time it is either useful or effective...

It is usefull and effective I agree.

Not a snipe comment at all. Just stating the truth. Because someone has a sticker one the vehicle makes it his PERSONAL POLICY to haggle them. Maybe not haggle them but add questions that don't pertain to incident (Pulled over for seatbelt)
and or infraction. I shall state that I would answer his question without hesitation and attitude. Give me ticket and let me be on way. Lots of things to do and little time to do them.

I understand what LEO's go through on a constant basis but because someone has sticker pertaining to NRA or Pro-Gun doesn't mean have to add more to the Situation than whats already present.

I shall state I do not have one of those stickers on my vehicle as I think stickers are tacky however the girlfriend does put Don't Tread on Me stickers on her vehicles.I like to excercise my rights but do so under radar.

I had not had any bumper stickers on a vehicle in many years until a few days ago.

Now my crappy little Geo Tracker is sporting a "Ron Paul for President 2012" on one side, and a Gadsden Flag on the other side. I was a little apprehensive at first but nearly a week's gone by with no ill results. :)

In Missouri, you'd be considered a "Militia Member."

I've had two "Don't Tread on Me" stickers and an NRA sticker for several years. No repercussions. :D But I do stay out of dangerous liberal areas.

So, do you think I am being profiled wearing this on the back of my truck?

Had a little fender bender (18 wheeler vs car,18 wheeler wins) Because I needed to climb in and out of the truck (thought it might become exposed) I told the Trooper I had a PTC and was carrying, he said where is it B4 I could reply he said right hip right I said yes he said just try to keep it covered and thanks for telling me as I've had people not tell me and it's become a problem as in putting a gun in their face and assuming the position until it was cleared up.He even asked what it was and said nice weapon. The rest of the incident went well for me and I thuoght the Trooper was very Proffesional in the whole matter. I have an NRA and an US Air Force Proudly served sticker on the sides of the truck.

Maybe, but it's sound more like he was just another LEO misinformed about the MN "Permit to Carry" confusing it with "Conceal and Carry". Happens all to often in this state, were LEO "loose their frickin minds" when they encounter an open carry situation not knowing the laws of their own State.

Do you even need a sticker?

It would appear that many folks are unfamiliar with the "blue line" sticker image I posted earlier.

It's design was actually copyrighted by frontline designs, and as far as I know they will only sell you one if you are a LEO.

It's widely denied that this sticker gets you preferential treatment, but in my experience (with two friends that are LEO's), this is correct. It is, in fact, a pass.

Nobody wants to be that Officer that pulls over some other cops wife and cites her for whatever. That makes you a giant dick among your colleagues. It's expected that you give others on the "job" a break for little things.

It's intended to alert any LEO that the owner/occupant of the car is connected to law enforcement.
