A Microgun and using the lower number of 4000 per minute would be split times of .01
The Beretta 92F claimed rounds per minute is 1100 would be splits of .05
I found that the top USPSA Competitors have split times of .11 to .13
Today my son Mike and I went to the range to do some practice and I thought here is a good chance to see what we can do. This is the first live fire practice we have done this year.
Last Saturday at a IDPA match we did this FAST Drill http://pistol-training.com/drills/fast- ... speed-test
I did it in 6.46 and JoeH did it in 6.17
Today Mike did it with his CZ in 4.03 and 4.04
Ranking
10+ seconds: Novice
less than 10 seconds: Intermediate
less than 7 seconds: Advanced
less than 5 seconds: Expert
We started our practice with a draw from the holster and one shot on a small popper at 10yds or 30ft. We only counted hits, I averaged 1.50 sec and Mike averaged 1.15 sec with his fastest at .88.
We also did some bill drills at 10 yards
My splits were right around .30
Mikes splits were .23
Mike also just tried dumping 6 rounds into the berm no draw or aiming just working the trigger, he got down to about .20 fastest split. He tried my Infinity and his XD and CZ, no real difference in time.
It looks like we have our work cut out for us to be competitive around here.
I would like to hear from others that actually know their times. The steel shoot this weekend would be a good place to get your splits if it doesn't slow the match down.
