And there's the little matter that the SAAMI pressure for the 40 is 35,000 PSI, and the pressure for the 10mm is 37,500, so for a 10mm NORMA factory load in a 40 case you'll be WAAAAYYY over pressure even if you could get the velocity. I think you should put the chrono between the gun and your face, to see how fast the slide comes back into your face after it shears off the frame. Oh, Hornady XTP 200 10mm bullets are only about $25 for a box of a 100. Dunno where you are getting that $90 figure from. And finally, you use Blue Dot for duplicating Norma factory loads, and not AA-7.

And I double dog dare ya to try it!!

I WAS jest tryin' to git a rise outta ya ... but if yer gonna double DOG dare me?! ... yer on!!!

... you got some Blue Dot to lend me? Image

$90 was from how Hoffy's repackages Montana Gold in little 100ct baggies ... MIGHT still be a BIT high. Image

Try it if you want...

I should warn you, and I'm deadly serious about this, that if you actually try this, you will probably wind up in Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, which is a brain injury, critical injury, and rehab hospital where Sasha and I are the main Therapy Dog team. We see stuff you can't even begin to imagine, with the opening ante being part of the skull missing and 50 - 100 steel staples holding the head together. It gets worse from there. I've seen one skull reconstruction that I can't even begin to describe. Some people recover to some degree, some don't and are shipped off to God knows where. We do this three days a week, and on Tuesday we work a hospice. You wouldn't like the world we live in, particularly if you're one of our "customers".

Whatever. Everyone knows it's called a decapitator. I'll bet you don't own a headchopperoffer at all.

Wait, where's the option for the Mosin M44 with bayonet extended disguised as a floor lamp next to the night-stand?

Sure, but you have to answer the door wearing a dress. Brazilian wax is optional.

don't know if anyone's gonna win the light/fast vs. slow/heavy debate anytime soon? :?

looks like, if ya ain't at least got a particularly bright flashlight ready to go, with the gun, yer smokin' crack!

rightly so, 'er not, looks like when asked, "what do ya trust to save you 'n yers?", the answer's inordinately "Glock!"

despite "reliability" rumors to the contrary, when asked the same question, almost as many reply "1911!"

I wouldn't've made much sense as to how 9mm's keepin' pace with .45 (ya, I know there's some .38 Super 'n .357 Sig in there, but not THAT much) ... 'sept the comments in the carry poll indicate more 'n a few guys are settin' their carry-gun on the nightstand, 'fore bed. Not to say it ain't a good caliber ... but in looking at the carry numbers, .45 falls behind significantly ... and I woulda 'spected more of a 2-to-1 on the nightstand ... jest guessing, 'course.

Revolvers ain't dead yet ... but if they're "100% reliable" ... and "auto's ain't" ... don't look like too many folks are overly concerned 'bout it.

'Tween Glocks 'n knock-off's, I can't understand why some other companies don't try harder ... definitely some sales to be had, there! ... no more a saturated market than Ruger introducing a 1911, at this point.

I can't trust myself when I'm asleep enough to keep a blade under the pillow.

(assume its in a scabbard of some sort and not swingin' in the breeze?)

Forgot my edit of...

In a scabbard under the pillow..... Doesn't go well with feather pillows.

i kept a KaBar under my pillow in Iraq, never again. that thing is an uncomfortable bitch. great to have handy though! it makes a decent headchopperoffer (or decapitater if you prefer) but requires a few swings. the only real problem with that is the "not guilty by reason of self defense" plea is somewhat debatable.

i have a nice, bright, non-tactical Streamlight LED unit that puts out 150 or so lumens that i keep on the dresser, grab one then grab the other.

Currently my 9mm 1911, but looking for something with a rail.

Also, looks like I put 1911s over the top with my vote.
