Did you see the post about the Glock safety that's built into the trigger? While that safety is probably 100% sound from a technical perspective, using it could easily lead to situation where the trigger is activated because it's design doesn't take into account human tendencies.

Yes I've used with an unloaded firearm and I didn't like them. I think the quote by Fairbairn and Sykes sums up a lot of my thoughts.

If the tendency you're talking about is that of putting your finger inside the trigger guard, before you have the firearm pointing at a target, I have to disagree.

Putting your finger inside the trigger guard before you've aimed is inherently unsafe, regardless of the type of action. Learning to not do so is the only safe alternative.

It's easy to point out what went wrong after the fact.
I still say humans are only human... None of us are immune to what happened in this video, (or similar). I'm sure he and 1,000's of others before him thought they had the best safety ever made located between their ears.

The serpa can actually prevent NDs. Just add a little dirt in the right place:

Too bad it wasn't a Glock, I'd really like to blame another one for an ND.

Amen to that. As humans we will always have negligent discharges, carrying in illegal areas, carrying while drunk … hell, some of us might even carry mutiple edged weapons and firearms into a designated and posted courthouse. It is our inherent foibles as humans that brings us entertaining videos such as this. Many thanks to the original poster.
