it was $830 for the "TacPac". came with three 8 round mags, a holster, a speedloader VOUCHER (out of stock, i guess) and a pretty decent case.

oh, another 150 down the pipe yesterday without as much as a hicup

i know that some people would say that since i have less than 1000 rounds through my Sig i shouldn't be carrying it, but i like it a lot better than my FNP-40. capacity of my Sig is 8+1 and the FNP holds 14+1. the Sig weighs almost double what my FNP weighs. the Sig has a longer barrel (5") than the FNP (4"), and i have a OWB holster for the Sig, and a IWB for my FNP.

however, i like the FNP better. i think it shoots better, with a more controlable recoil than the snappy .40S&W and i'm more confident with it.

oh, and concealing an OWB holster with a 5" barreled 1911 is surprisingly easier than i thought

i have a IWB holster on now with a 5'' 1911 and it hides pretty well if i have a long enough shirt.

yeah, that .40 is snappy! with the lightness of the gun it seems to be even more noticable. it's also the only .40 i've shot, my only previous experience with a 40 was malt liquor!

Very Nice. I just bought a Colt 1911.... wanted that same Sig but found the colt the same day. I own several traditional Sig plus Rilfes. I love them. I want the 1911 too.
I hope you will post performance and your personal thoughts after shooting the heck out of it.

wondering what variation of Sig 1911 that one the OP bought is most similar to? Sig only makes about 15 different models... was curious to find that out. I see the "tacpac" on sig's website, but they don't explain a whole lot about the pistol itself there.

the pistol that i have is the TacOps, or Tactical Operations. however, it is the NON-RAILED one. as nice as rails are, i don't really like the look of them on a 1911. if you look on the SigSauer website, theres two different TacPacs (or Tactical Packages), one for the RAIL version, and one for the NON-RAIL version
