Naahh.. 100 miles is too far to go, and the only kind of bird Sasha knows how to retreive are penguins....

Wait.... penguins? Umm so you won't travel 100 miles for pheasants but you'll travel all the way to the South Pole for penguins?!?!?! :hmm:

Sasha has clout. She makes the birds come to her.

Well, just got back. Had a great time. Got to see Tom Knapp do his exhibition show. 3 years ago I got to see Tim Bradley do his. Next on my bucket list is Patrick Flanigan.

TONS of stuff for dogs, I unfortunately didn't need anything more for my dog. I needed a vest for him but didn't happen to see one. Got there at 9:15ish and it wasn't too bad of a crowd, but by 12 it was pretty busy. Lots of shade, not enough bugs to worry about and put my name in every gun drawing i could haha.

We got back a little after 12. Crowds were getting heavy and the heat was coming on for the dogs, so we cruzed. Had a good time, put my birds on account at the game farm and let the Brits have a run at Pointer Hill.

Sasha is a purebred Samoyed, and her dad was the Canadian #1 Sammy for three years, 2x best in show

FWIW, Roald Amundsen's personal lead dog to the South Pole was a Sammy named Etah, and survived the whole 1200 miles in and 1200 miles out, and lived out his dotage in England. All the rest of the dogs were mixed breed sled dogs...

Amundsen was no fool...

Just got Sasha groomed again Saturday to remove the rest of her undercoat, and as I was walking out of Petsmart a man and a woman were walking in about 75' behind me, and the man took one look and I could hear him say WOW!!!! :o

He probably said that because of your dog, right? :?

Took the kids and they had a good time. Left the dog at home and she was a bit annoyed (too immature to be around that crowd, she would've driven everyone nuts, even the other dogs). They loved watching the dogs competing, especially the jumping off the dock (or in some cases-lack thereof, was funny but also felt some sympathy for those dogs, the water looked to be a bit below the dock), as well as the shotgun shooting exhibition. Thanks stesch_s10 for the pre-report, helped me plan it out; too bad i didn't get everyone going earlier or we might have met.

Oh and I will be winning the O/U shotgun from Pheasants Forever. I know it because when i was signing up for it a dog came over and stole my snickers, I think that's supposed to be a good luck sign or something. SO you all might as well go back and take your names out of that drum. Now.

No problem. Oh! I will be winning that pheasants forever gun. I'll let you shoot it though.
