Oakdale 8/4 Scores

Postby Annwn on Sun Aug 14, 2011 3:08 pm

Will we be seeing match scores soon for the last Thursday night (8/4) at Oakdale? Just curious - I know things happen and that posting scores is probably a job with little thanks.

Time is all relevant. Therefore, soon could mean yesterday, or next year.

If you look at the timeline of the life of the planet, soon could be long after we're dead. But it's all subjective.

When I started shooting a few years ago, it wasn't uncommon for other clubs to take 2-3 weeks to get scores up.

Not a big deal to me - I don't have time to do the scores, therefore I am appreciative of those who do have (or sacrifice to make) time. This just gives me something to look forward to. In contrast, Gecko would have been pacing and hitting "refresh" every few minutes for the whole three weeks - something that provided me with endless hours of amusement. This is why I know how to check scores... so that he could make me check them whenever he didn't have access to a computer.

I'm entering them now, though I might just send you the score .txt files, and wait a bit to upload them.

Apparently you don't notice that most Oakdale matches are up hours after the match.

I don't get paid enough, but they're up.

I am a volunteer. Maybe another volunteer could help out once in awhile. Just a thought.

Someone sure hit a lot of no shoots on the Glock 17 stage... :o

Thanks Tim for getting the scores up. I wish is could have been in a couple of days instead of weeks but we still appreciate your time and effort. Just having fun with you.
