Metal 9

Postby hans on Tue Aug 23, 2011 8:46 pm

Hey I was wondering about what kind of 9x19 chambered autos are out there in a metal frame, single stack mag design? I would like something like the Bersa Thunder .380 / PPK / Mak or something like that but 9x19. All I see is 380s in that style, Is that what I'm limited to or are my options hard to find and spendy?

there's always the option of a 9mm 1911....
Springfield makes a nice one, from what i've seen. Nighthawk makes one that i'd LOVE to have, but i can't justify dropping 2k+ on a pistol any time in the foreseeable future

there's also the Springfield EMP, which is very similar to the 1911, but has it's differences. i'd still call it a 1911 style pistol, however some purists would argue (my uncle, for one)
saying that guns kill people is like saying that spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat.

I guess I should add that I meant the same general size as those that were listed above also.

I'd say a S&W Chief's Special 9mm is 'bout as close as it gets ...

+1 - i think there's even a compact smith 9mm in the firearms section for under $300.....
