I am willing to bet that the recent 6.6 BILLION DOLLAR tax increase IS NOT supported by a majority of Minnesotans. I think most of us would prefer to have the government be responsible with our money and STOP WASTING IT on moronic programs and welfare. Can't we all cite a few that we could do without?
A couple of quotes come to mind that summarize my positions...
" The belief in the possibility of a short decisive war appears to be one of the most ancient and dangerous of human illusions. "
--Lep Tolstoy, Russian writer and philosopher
" Civilization has been thrust upon me... and it has not added one whit to my love for truth, honesty and generosity. "
-- Luther Standing Bear
I think a good bill to introduce to the legislature would be a requirement to have a good majority of constituents sign on to a bill *before* it can be formally introduced. This would mean that the legislator did their homework, and is actually representing their constituents positions on the issue at hand. With technology of today, there is NO REASON why this can't happen fairly painlessly.

I am also willing to create a Minnesota based mailing engine (website that allows mass emailing to targeted groups of legislators *and* constituents with a single message) that will allow anyone to send an email to those who need to hear it on particular issues. It will be available to anyone who signs up, will have your registered name, address, etc. (all the stuff required by those who get the message), and will allow you to become active without having to spend an hour each time you want to be vocal about an issue to the entire house or senate. A draft email will be created which you can choose to customize, then submit to email all those who need to hear it. Being done here on a national level: http://www.gunowners.org/activism.htm
Being done already? Comments? Opinions?
Let's take our state back, one step at a time... then we can take back our country.
Or, we could just sit and bitch about it...
