+500 (a brick). Ever since the kids started shooting the 10/22, my consumption has gone up 1000% on .22's -- I watch for the Federal 500 Bulk Pack at Gouger or Fleet Farm -- I wanna say it was $13-something on Monday at FF, gotta find my receipt.

My guess is he's spending more than that.

IIRC, the 9mm value packs are 100 rounds. Last time I checked, Wally World was getting $24.97/box for those.

OK ok...you got me there! But, I am prepared for the ultimate Zombie invasion. Also, when I started doing this, the 9mm was $9.96 per box of 100.

Let's say you go once a week.

Let's say that while there you buy just one box of 500 count .22, and one of 9mm value pack (and perhaps occassionally some hp's). Not a huge hit to the budget.

At home I keep as much as I could get my hands onto. {yep I Hoard it !} It will one day be a currency !
At the range I usually do 100 rounds of the larger calibers and 2-300 of 22LR.
If I go out to the state gamelands for a day I'll shoot a box of 555's 22 LR. It is a long day of shooting though and I make sure to run a Hoppe's soaked patch every 50 rounds with 22 LR to keep the leading down.

A bunch--a crapload--a lot--never enough--more than I could use if I lived at the range--it's a regular topic of discussion between my wife and I--I'm sure if I loaded it all into my suburban---------------I'd have to add at least 2 more leaf springs.

When I remodeled the kitchen I put the old STEEL cabinets in my loading room to store ammo.

The shelves collasped! I had to reinforce them. They've been OK for the last couple years.

Is that too much?

Enough for a basic combat load for an infantry company, if not all the same caliber. I don't believe in having too much loaded at one time, I do have reloading components for more than that around also...
