I wish these damn liberal gun haters would keep their mouths shut !
Criminals don't need/use permits to carry guns, they just do. another thing is I don't belive anyone that was charged with murder or manslaughter has ever applied for a permit let alone recieved one from their home state ! These idiots make no sense !! Yea sure, take the guns from all the law abiding citizens so we can't defend ourselves from the ones who are criminals carring guns ? That's real smart, they really do care about our safety, Jackoffs !
People who are against guns will never have true freedom !

Has anybody that has a carry permit, ever murdered somebody, robed somebody or committed a violent crime with their weapon?

Do we count police officers as permit holders?

In WI, you'll be better off if you have one ... that is, the LEO carve outs are much more restricted than the standard Permit. (Chemicals, Electric devices, asps, etc are not included in all the LEO grandfather clauses)
private or small grou permit classes available

I won't carry less-lethal devices off duty.

Besides, the LEOSA exempts me from MOST state state carry laws, with some exceptions.

"So, Mr. Tman, you had a baton on your belt. Why did you shoot my clients child, when you could've just struck his arm and made him drop the knife he was holding?"

(not the most perfect example, but you get the idea.)

My understanding of LEOSA is that signs like here that don't carry the weight of law do while carrying under LEOSA. i.e. an out of state LEO without a valid recognized carry permit would be committing a crime immediately on carrying past the signs at the Mall of America.

Where did you hear that?

This is from the FOP's web site:

The new law exempts all qualified active and retired law enforcement officers from State and local laws with respect to the carrying of concealed firearms. These officers are not exempt from Federal law or regulation, which governs the carriage of firearms onto aircraft or other “common carriers,” Federal buildings, Federal property, or national parks.
In addition, State (not local) laws which prohibit the carriage of firearms onto State or local government property and State (not local) laws which allow private entities to prohibit firearms on their private property would still apply to qualified active and retired law enforcement officers.

Seems fairly clear that LEO's are exempt from MOST carry laws.
