I guess we will have to try them again. We did exactly that, wrapped them in bacon, seasoned and grilled. We maybe grilled them too long, the only thing we all agreed on was that the woodcock ruined the bacon.


Woodcock is an acquired taste. It is best if you start off eating tripe and then working up to the breasts. If you start off with the breasts, you have nothing to compare back to. Kind of like eating shore lunch walleye before trying lutefisk.
