Braemar is open, but limited and expensive.

Hi neighbor. Don't get me started on the South Metro Training facility. What kills me is there used to be a beautiful range at Breamar; Brian Wipperman gun range. I took my gun safety course there when I was a kid. The current facility, paid for with our tax dollars is expensive and, most outrageously, very limited time wise to the public. Bills in Robinsdale is reasonably close. If you buy their tokens ahead of time a session is $12.50.

Bills in Robbinsdale is good for shooting. The guys running the range are cool and they don't impose unreasonable restrictions.
Bills in Circle Pines has a 50yd range for sighting in rifles and such. Much better now than when it was under different ownership as Armored Fire (what a joke they were). Not a bad way to go, but FYI, the older guys working there tend to be "cranky".

South Metro Training Facility is the closest, being that it's in Edina, but it is a joke. I train there a lot for LE stuff, and it's got decent accommodations for limited training, but it's nothing special. Unfortunately, it is consistent with other metro training facilities. They're LE and FD facilities first, but they do have limited availabilities for public use in order to generate funds and to be "active" with community "involvement" (read: POLITICS). Several other facilities around the metro are just as expensive and just as restrictive and frickin' stupid. The idiots who designed and run these facilities have their head pretty far up their 4-point contact.

Bursnville Pistol Range is not a terrible drive from the South side of Edina.

My question is not directed towards the op in anyway or my attempt to be funny and be an *******. But what's up with all these threads about gun ranges? Seriously use Google or bing you'd get results faster then waiting for people to reply. For the record Robinsdale Bills is a great choice...

More reliable information, quite a few ranges have either closed, changed hours or are not quite what they appear to be on the web, if they have a web presence at all.

That reply is a perfectly good example why its smart and a proper human being not to jump to conclusions and be an idiot online..

South of Edina is Lakeville. You could try out Gander Mountain Academy. I have not been there. I don't support that company very much (too rich for me). But to just answer your question. There is a range there. I know they have a 50% off coupon at Holiday stores that are good for the next week or so.

I usually go to Burnsville pistol range if I want to shoot handguns, I've been taking a trip to Oakdale gun club on Sundays to shoot my AR (awesome ranges there, totally worth the drive). I go to Bills every now and then, they seem to have less restrictions, but it's usually pretty packed. Bills is a little closer than BPR, I always go a little after noon so I don't hit any traffic.
