Actually, no, I don't remember how this came about. Do you have any information I could see on this? I've been looking, since the situation with dl acceptance among states is the most often used example on how state to state reciprocity should work. The oldest information I've found is the, now defunct, Driver License Compact which began with a resolution passed by Congress in the 50's but was already on the ropes, presumable being replaced with something else, in the 70's. But I haven't found any kind of history on the process and the difficulties they encountered and/or created along the way.

Or all of the unknowns that are surfacing that are buried in the OBAMACARE bill.

For me - Leave it alone. I will never be traveling to all of these states anyway - I have permits to allow me to carry in the states I want.

I'm just mentioning that political bickering has become the preeminent factor in how a lawmaker votes now-a-days. I'm sure there was bickering in the past, but it doesn't seem as though which side of the aisle you were on was the main reason for voting one way or the other so much of the time. This seems to have gotten much worse over time.

More a statement of my simple opinion vs hard facts. Thanks for taking the time to look up facts.
