New EDC Knife

Postby goett047 on Mon Oct 24, 2011 10:09 am

I'm in the market for a new EDC knife and have not a clue what to get. I would prefer assisted opening and around a 3 inch blade. I currently carry a Gerber Fastdraw and a Kershaw Chive.

I have the predecessor (297 Sirus) ... I have 3 of 'em, actually ... longer blade ... more money ... discontinued ... but the 420HC is very nice to take and keep an edge!

They've got half-serrated models too, if ya like.

A 721 has been my faithful companion for 4 years or so. Love the Axis lock.

Buck "Rush" has been a constant companion of mine for years. Assisted opening, lockable...I even have a spare in case I ever lose it. Very close to the "Impulse" except it has a skeletonized handle.

If I was to upgrade from my Buck, this'd be it! Image

I carry the torrent, because it is easy to carry and has 154cm steel. But, it's not the strongest lock.
