Speaking from experience. A very close acquaintance of mine was shot to death by police for refusing to drop a revolver. I know to this day he wasn't going to shoot anybody. But I also know the cops couldn't have known that so as horrible as it felt I never blamed the police for his death. The point is that it doesn't matter how much you care about somebody it's still possible to rationalize. It's nearly impossible for me to understand how somebody can make this career violent criminal into a victim. With his death the streets of Minnesota are that much safer.
I love it when a plan comes together!

You gotta love the ghetto logic being used by the deceased's friends and family. The father's blatant threat (F*** that s***,he killed my son n i'll go to my grave makin sure he pay of it......that's on my G) made me click on his profile. According to what he has down, he lives in Florida and is originally from Gary, Indiana (surprise). He lists his heros as Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, Bob Marley, and Malcom X. Hardly following their teachings, I see. What a piece of work.

Forgive me if this is a dupe link:

One of the sisters said "just because you have the right to carry doesn't mean you have the right to kill." Hmm... I thought, generally speaking, that everyone has a natural right to self-preservation and self-defense. Unfortunately, sometimes killing an agressor who is poses an imminent threat of death or great bodily harm is required.

Just an afterthought: Where did Mr. Evanovich obtain his firearm? Did he purchase it with false identity or documents? Did he have a straw buyer? Did he obtain it in a burglary? Did he borrow it from mom or dad?

This piece of trash chose the wrong career. Perhaps his colleagues will take notice and move their franchises to an area where the citizens aren't armed. Chicago comes to mind.

Good Riddance.

Anyone notice the KSTP article called it a "Conceal and Carry" permit? Oh thats right, it is the news media, their job is to report.......wait for it........what sells. All this retaliation talk has actually benefitted me.. My wife now encourages me to carry everywhere I go, and is considering taking the class herself (although with the M.S. she has, I think the Benelli shotgun with the pump assist handle would be a better option, but your not allowed to "carry" that thing IIRC from the DNR, much less conceal it). :rulez:
1911 Fan quote in memoirium about carrying:
The purpose of a firearm in a defensive situation is to make the other guy leak from holes he was not born with. Your job is to install those orifices for him.

I think this world is pretty bad off if a man can't pursue a person they just saw pistol whip an old lady, just because you have a permit should not disqualify you from doing such, but it appears as thou it does

It appears Darren's brother has set up another facebook page, that allows public comments.

Yep, it works.
There's a lot of good information on that page:

" News flash dude, your brother did die a suspect, as he was in the process of fleeing the scene of a crime in which he had just committed. Perhaps your "bro" should have not been some scumbag criminal and he'd still be alive. Funny I've never been shot, but then again I don't go around committing crimes........weird huh? "

You have the right to pursue and make a citizens arrest. If the criminal fires a gun at you, you have the right to defend yourself.

Wow, it starts out as a dialog, and then people start piling on. I don't think anyone is buying the "was just about to turn his life around after pistol whipping the old lady" bit.

I especially like the fact that someone pointed out: blood on the back = Exit wound . (aka, not shot in the back like they have been saying)

I found it interesting that the Felon's supporters continue to argue that the only proper response to a violent crime is to call the police and hope they get there in time to take a report. They seem to believe that the worst possible outcome for an armed robbery/assault should be possible arrest.
Regardless of the outcome of this one, I hope there is a new realization among the thugs that a possible arrest is not the only negative outcome they need to worry about while pursuing there chosen lifestyle.
