You do realize there are other safer ways of staying warm, don't you?

and regarding how much money to bring? ALL OF IT

The best methodology is to know what you want and how much they usually go for before you go. Then you can compare, haggle, etc.

I think that you can get better deals on little things than on big ticket items...

Although the MWCA name includes collectors, there are far more new guns than old military guns.
This is the 2nd biggest show in MN, only to be outdone by the spring show at the same location.

We sell guns for the same price at the shows as we do every other day, sometimes for less.
There is a lot of competition and yes, some vendors think think they have gold on their tables.

I have yet to have anyone tell me they can get the same gun for less money at any gun shop.
Guys that say there are no deals aren't looking real hard.

As someone mentioned, it's helpful to do your homework ahead of time.
You don't get very good results from a vendor when you walk up and offer him $50 less than his cost.
We can't sell new Glocks for $400 as some seem to think.
Do some shopping. If you've done your homework, people will work with you.

There's a lot to see so plan on spending a few hours if you're really looking for something.

shouldn't anyone with a gun be considered "security personnel?" most permit holders could probably do a better job than a run-of-the-mill security guard anyways lol
