Just a snippet that I thought was interesting. I'm sure if everyone had continued to second guess the guy and complain about his actions without having a **** clue what had transpired, the star trib would have never noticed.......

3rd paragraph from the bottom:

The story of Evanovich's shooting was retold this week on several Internet forums and chat groups devoted to gun rights, with commentators affirming the legality of the shooting.

I like it better than:

The story of Evanovich's shooting was retold this week on several Internet forums and chat groups devoted to gun rights, with commentators questioning the legality of the shooting (despite not knowing what transpired).

But, hey, I'll go adjust the tinfoil.

Those of you who did better in your first gunfight, keep up the armchair quarterbacking. It's been entertaining.........

The facebook site in question is a parody page. Some wise guy (troll) set up the facebook page in reply to the pages set up by the muggers family.
Here is another quote in Ebonics you might enjoy.
"I gots some tier1 Hi-point pistol fo sale. I bring them to the event fo yall. gotta stay strappd so we dont becom victums like D."
"Hurrah, boys, we've got them! We'll finish them up and then go home to our station." Lt. Col G.A. Custer June 25, 1876.

Great question.

I remember checking the MPLS police bulletins, immediately after the shooting, to see if there were any announcements or warnings of increased crime in the area, and found nothing.

Why should the police be expected to protect you or give you greater knowledge of a suspected danger?

They are only there to take pictures and collect names after the fact.

I would think that there was a bulletin about criminal activity improving.

I'm a little surprised that none of the news stories mention that this parking lot is right across the street from the 3rd Precinct station.

The real question is "How far is it from the nearest Doughnut Shop"? :stirthepot:
