Lever-Action Shotgun

Postby OldmanFCSA on Fri Nov 04, 2011 10:38 pm

Who makes/made them?
Can anybody show me a link to more info, pictures, costs, etc.

Mainly just an interest, but ................ maybe someday I would like to own one.

12 gage - not the 410 models

Winchester 1887. You can buy the real deal, good reproduction, or chinese copy. Popular right now due to cowboy action shooting. Prices from $550 to over $1500. Check http://www.sass.net for more info.

I saw two at Gunstop yesterday, and there was one when I was there two months ago, so they probably have some in stock.

First time I saw one of these was at a party at a friend's farm. A impromptu skeet contest started up and for a while there I thought this one fella was really some shooter breaking all those birds with a rifle.

That short hammer spur can easyly slip out from under your thumb when it is wet from rain or snow and it will go BOOM, I had one many years ago, paid $30 for it, coulda got the 10 ga. for $35.
