What guns are you currently looking to buy?

Postby BigJnMn on Mon Nov 07, 2011 9:43 pm

I have a problem. I really want a Marlin 30-30 in a 1960-70 vintage. I also want a S&W revolver in .357, 3" or less, pre lock. I'm also looking at a smaller, non poly, 9mm for cc like the MK9.

Anyone else have problem with wanting more guns than you can afford at one time? :)

Somewhat patiently awaiting for Mossberg to release the new 930 JM Pro Series so I can have a new shotty for 3-Gun next season. So far I've sent 2 e-mails to Mossberg asking about the release date without a reply. I'm about ready to jump ship and go elsewhere.

Thinking about perhaps the palmetto special right now: http://palmettostatearmory.com/8923.php but have too many questions about buying my first "real" rifle. I hate being uninformed but am overwhelmed with information overload. I don't really know where to start when considering M4/AR-15 platform long guns.

Another choice is the kel-tec sub 2000 for a range toy. I feel like this won't be as much fun to shoot as I first imagined. It's a quirky firearm with no real purpose.

Also thinking about a 22 pistol. Perhaps a ruger 22/45 or mark III. Maybe a wheel gun 22 (as I don't own any revolvers). Again, this feels a little redundant as I already have a couple of 9mm pistols and my ruger 10/22 carbine.

Then I look back at the Palmetto. Maybe it's time for my first "big-boy" gun. Too many questions however to make any decisions as of now. I just started this hobby about 5 months ago and I'm already wanting all the guns.

Ithaca model 37, M1903A3 Springfield/ 1917 Enfield, M1 Garand.... In a few months I'll be able to get one of those, but I'll most likely end up sending my 1911 out to get upgraded.

Accuracy International AX in 308

Lot of firearms I don't mind buying/trading used, but this is something that I would have to buy new.

This is easy. Stop thinking and buy it. It's a no-brainer.

Always on the prowl for cute .22 rifles and undervalued 1911s. And 870s. And, and, and...... 8-)

i'm more looking to pay my mortgage for the next few months than to get a new toy...

however, there are a few on my list of hopefuls:
-i want to find a revolver in .45acp (probably the S&W 629),
-a big-ass revolver in something overkill like a .454 Casull, with an 8" or longer barrel that i can hook a red dot to for deer
-CZ 75B in 9mm for a range gun
-CZ 75 SP-01 in 9mm for a carry gun
-an old FN manufacture BHP
-a Ruger SR556 chambered in 5.56Nato (then get a second upper in 6.8 SPC with an 18" barrel for hunting, though not a Ruger 6.8, probably one from AR15 Performance)
-a Kimber Ultra Carry Custom HD in .45acp for carry
-Remington VersaMax shotgun
-a nice Over Under shotgun in 12 or 20ga
-a military 1911 from WWII of any manufacture and condition, it would be something to look at, not use

i'm sure i can add to this list, but i have to get my kid to the bus stop :D :D

I'm a man of simple tastes, and my list reflects such.

Mossberg 500 OR Remington 870
Mosin Nagant
Ruger 10/22
Glock 21 or other such dependable .45ACP pistol.

I currently own a single AR15 in 5.56 but hope to complete the modest collection that I listed above in the near future.

One of the original Smith & Wesson blue model 58's.
Seriously, that is about it, unless I run across an original Detonics, then maybe there are two on my list. :D
