And we wasted how much tax payer money for these guys to go play in Tulsa? Along with the time they get paid to practice, ammo equipment ect.

These department teams are just another example of self serving government. If these guys want to compete fine let them do it on their time and their dime.

They are the best in our country for a reason. When we need bad ass's to handle bad things, we got it.

The best of the best, deserve nothing less. Some of the other wannabe hardcore fools on the other hand...

I've met a lot of MSPPD shooting team and SPPD, as well as a couple of these guys.
Trust me, "competition" for them has a different meaning than many of us other people.

practice ammo and travel expenses for 8 guys are very small compared to a lot of other places you could start cutting budgets.

It's like justifying tax increases for a new vikings stadium. Yeah, if they won, a lot, I may be more for it, but since they suck, piss off and move to another state.

Aren't these the same guys that lost a real engagement to a guy with a pump action shotgun filled with birdshot after they got the wrong address? Image

And they lost to Canucks!

The shame is immeasurable.

I'm more likely to be shot at by Mpls SWAT (due to admin failure) than saved from tourists terrorists by them. As such I'd prefer they were the worst in the country.
