New to me Sig 229

Added this Sig 229 to my stable today. Black Stainless with Siglite night sights in 40 S&W. LE trade in so it is used but you know.... Not a lot.

Hey --- me too! I got a 229 in 9mm yesterday. I used to have a 225/P6 which I loved dearly --- one of those German police models. I traded it away recently and have been suffering seller's remorse. I thought I'd go for a 226, but the 229 has the same stubby proportions as the 225. So now I'm happy (but broke) again.

And man, it is a shooter. As a lefty I had written off Sigs awhile back, but after a few magazines, I bet I could run the controls faster than most righties.

The Sig was flawless and very accurate with 200 rounds inside a 4 inches at 10 yards. There was a couple of flyers but even they were not far off from POA. Awesome shooter with PMC 165 gr FMJ and Federal 180 gr FMJ and Speer Gold Dot SD ammo. Totally trustworthy as a carry choice.

I've always wanted to own a SIG 229... I wish I still had my first SIG, which was an old SIG 220... however, I love my one and only SIG right now... my 226.

I love mine. It's one of my favorites. WIth the Hogue grips it fits the hand very nicely. I pop a .357 sig bbl in it and shot those as well.

I picked up a LNIB Sig P229 Elite 9mm from Marv and Paul at Frontiersman in St. Louis Park last week.
Took it to Bills south sunday NOV 5th 2011.... flawless .... those Aluminum grips are great... I usually put houges on anything I can 1911s, Sigs, smith revolvers..... but wow those grips are outstanding ....

I have a P226 in 9mm which I dearly love and 2x p220s also love... but this P229 feels like Zues himself created it in my hand.
