that CZ is totally pimpadelic, and on top of that, it's DURABLE! not like gold plating that will rub off relatively quickly. next tear down, are you going to do anything crazy to the finish on the frame or slide? think: electroless nickle. zinc. CHROME, baby! then you'll need a new holster made out of the skin from the tiny giraffe

I think this will do it for mods, its already over the top as it is. Plus I like the gold and black color scheme. Doing the TiN is the only way I would do this, it has to be functional as well.

The polycoat that comes on the CZ is a real bitch to get off. I had to use a combination of auto body paint stripper and rust eating naval Jelly. The final result is a parkerized looking finish that is pretty rough. There is a lot of work involved in prepping it for a different surface finish. I about wore myself out just on the control parts.

last winter from Angus Hobdell. I was shooting my first match with it in about 25 degree weather. The mag's
would not drop free and the trigger stuck to the rear. I sent it to Angus and he confirmed what I had experienced.
He called me a week later and said CZ had used the wrong material in the polymer frame. He refunded my money.
The CZ custom shop will not do trigger jobs on the Shadow.

This is the all steel frame, no polymer. My mags drop fine, though I had to do some work with the mag spring and then I had to grind a little off the inside of the mag release so I wouldn't trap the mag by pushing on it hard the other side. They drop like **** through a goose now.

Yes it will be a good gun for that. I think it will work SSP as well, I know I will be using it for that.

Though I never fired it before I worked on it, The custom shop sends a target that shows the accuracy, probably 1.5 inches at 25 yrds, more than I can do free hand.

As far as pull, it came with about 7-8 DA pull and about 4 ish SA pull. By changing the mainspring to something lighter (easy to do), and by stretching the trigger return spring (just crank on it a little with a hook or dental pick or something, while it is still right where it is), you can significantly lighten the trigger pull (7 ish DA and 3 ish SA) and not have to take the gun apart very much at all.

Polishing the internals made a HUGH difference, hence the 2.25 SA pull I have, but this will take more work, and honestly, unless you are addicted to 1911 competition triggers you won't notice the difference.

Just do a little spring changing and you will love this gun. Any questions about stuff just PM me.

I think you should drop off a revolver with snowgun and let him work his magic. Something in stainless 2-4 inch barrel. I bet it comes back so purdy and shiny you will need sun glasses to look at it.
