Killer gift for the gun guy that has everything....

Postby RAGGED on Thu Nov 17, 2011 12:45 pm

For those of you that don't get on accurate shooter often I thought I'd post this as it's a pretty cool item for the man cave.

Here’s a great gift item produced by one of our Forum Members. Tom Sziler (aka Tomekeuro85) makes CNC-machined aluminum coasters designed to look like cartridge headstamps. Tom’s coasters are first milled from a solid piece of 6061 aluminum, then anodized in a brass color. Anodizing provides color and protects the finish.

Headstamp Coasters come in sets of four (either matching or mixed) with rubber pads on the bottom. Tom can engrave his coasters to look like most actual production headstamps, for almost every cartridge. (Buyers need to specify the Cartridge name and brass manufacturer.) ..........

He can do whatever caliber and headstamp that you wan't, I placed an order for a mixed set doing.....

338 LM - Lapua
243 WIN- Lapua
308 WIN- Lapua
7MM REM MAG- Nosler

I wish the primers were to scale, looks like they are all the same size, o well, this guy makes some nice stuff, he also makes custom reloading trays out of billet alum and will engrave the caliber on them.

Actually, back when I wore dress shirts and had a few with French cuffs, I had made up some 12 gauge cufflinks from real shells. ground the brass base down to the head, epoxied cufflink fasternersto the back, and Voila!! Real 12 gauge cufflinks. If I could have found some 10 gauge cases, I would have used those instead. I suppose you could do the same thing and make 50 BMG cufflinks.

Bless you Steveb! Don't wear dress shirts anymore, but I could use 10 empty cases if you could part with them, because they make great wind chimes, plus they leave that little subtle message that maybe if you're a stranger and don't live around here, you might want to back off at least a mile or so...

Coasters? For guys? In a man cave?

I think people need to reset some standards here. ;)
