The black chrome I've seen is more charcoalish grey in person, and would be like a high buff park'd gun. Sexy! :mrgreen:

Maybe that's what I'll do to my range officer after I molest it with the mill. :cogitating:

I don't know if I'm going to work on that one this winter or wait till next year after I have some rounds through her for a summer.

There's some other industrial coatings that have cool color to them I'd been eyeing up as well. Kinda like you - I see the possibilities and my brain takes a loop.

Nahh... What you want is Diamond-Like Carbon Coating!

Can look like anything from Bluing, to Chrome, Park, Case Hardening, etc... and is near indestructible. I've heard you can even run your guns dry because of the lubricity.

Snowgun, Sig Sauer's got a few guns with that last coating, looks pretty. But thats the problem with it, looks pretty, and I have enough trouble with the pink

I'm not so sure u can get it to look like all those options you mentioned, I believe it also remains more of a matte finish. Great coating though!
