Drawing at the range from a Smartcarry could draw some stinkeye looks. :)

It can depend on the holster type too. I used to wear a leather Galco shoulder holster for my 92f, and since the barrel is pointing behind you when it is holstered nobody will let you draw from it at a range. Had to just go out in the country to practice hot draws.

I've heard it called a "jackass rig" before, guess that could be why.

No problem from me at the Forest Lake Sportsmans Club.
However, the only way for you to do this is to either become a member, or shoot any of my Pistol Leagues between April 1st-Oct.1st.
After the shooters shoot League, I let them shoot for as long as they want. Many guys practice drawing from their holsters, and well know that I keep watch for any safety problems.
I've never had any trouble, and have never had to warn anyone about this.

Welcome to come shoot starting in April.
Cheap League fees. Great folks to shoot with, and beautiful surroundings.

Thanks Ed, I was reallly hoping to hear that. Im going to have to look jnto getting a membership there as im not too far away. Overall do you like the facilities there?
