I'd plan on +2" for comfortable IWB carry. IMHO, the Crossbreed holters are about the best I've found so far.

I'd recommend looking at the Silent Thunder (http://www.giholsters.com), less unnecessary leather and a very quality product. I love the leather lined Kydex, and Ron and Sheryl are great people to work with. I have my 3rd one in the making as I type... I just can't stand the crossbreed style holsters myself.

If your pants are snug now IWB most likely won't work and definitely wouldn't be comfortable is it does work. I'd recommend getting the holster then trying on some pants to see what size you'll need.

I agree on both counts. I've been carrying a full size M&P for about 2 years in a Crossbreed.

Galco king-tuk tops the Crossbreed, and about $30 less expensive

I've got a Comp-Tec Minotaur MTAC for my PPS. I love it. I used to carry with a Crossbreed but I wasn't too thrilled about it.

The MTAC is smooth all the way around, so I feel its more comfortable than the "raw" leather on the back of the crossbreed.
I don't carry a gun to look for or start a fight. I carry one to finish a fight I never wanted to be in.

If you like a cross breed you'd love the king-tuk. I don't know anyone that's worn both and preferred the crossbreed.

I was very happy with the Comp-Tac CTAC when I carried a 1911. When I switched to carrying a revolver I basically copied the KHolster when I made the holster I use for everyday carry, and I like this holster even better. I was gonna say, dollar for dollar, get the KHolster, but the King Tuk looks pretty nice for about ten bucks more.

Personally I didn't switch to bigger pants when I started carrying IWB, but I guess I never wore them really snug. You'll have to try it yourself and see how it feels.

+2" on the pants (like others have pointed out)

I basically carry in a SGH DoubleSnap 99% of the time.

Get a good belt is the best advice you can ever get for carrying. I'm partial to the MTAC from Comp-Tac, I carry a G21SF in one most days during the winter.

+1 on Side Guard. Erik make's a good product, I carry in a IWB double snap.

This is where I know I'm lacking. My Cabela's belt doesn't cut it anymore. Suggestions? I'm most likely just gonna order one up from Erik.

I like the Wilderness original belts. If you want something more low-profile, Galco and Bianchi both make nice belts purpose built for carrying. I would not recommend the Blackhawk belts, I have one and it's falling apart.
