I am building my own barrel for this thing and rechambering it in 45-70. I am nervous to test fore it when complete. Will probably vise it and tie string to the trigger.

.45-70 is rimmed so I would think either rim or case mouth would be an option. Is the action long enough for the .45-70 though?

Interesting strategy he has though, to let all the other compleitors know what your plans are...

yeah, and his proposal on Monday was the two of us would play Rock-Paper-Scissors to see who gets the first shot (loser gets behind the trigger). i politely suggested that he find a nice quiet location and play hide and go **** yourself!

I have 2 of what my bubby calls picknick table legs, and a build off sounds like fun. Looked up the word Bourgeoisie and I guess they wouldn't
own a Mosin, and a mound of dirt would be fine, as the build might be a little heavy. Anybody have a strong stable sholder?

Btw, our numbers are growing beneath the surface. There's an ember of desire burning in the minds of a few guys who are very close to committing to the challenge.
