The guy shot a cop. Not sure if VT campus cops carry guns.

They are a normal armed police department.
Absolutely sucks. If some asshat wanted to off himself, fine, do it. Don't take out someone else, just doing their job.
Crouse, a U.S. Army veteran joined the Virginia Tech Police Department in 2007. He leaves behind his wife, five children and step-children...

The shooter was NOT involved in the traffic stop. He just walked up to the cop's car and shot him.
He then rand away, changed clothes and tried to slip away. Another cop spotted him, at which point the badguy killed himself.
He should've STARTED with that.
