Well, I just got back from ahlmans and WOW is all i can say! First of all just pulling into the drivway of the place is enough to put a smile on your face. Its huge! the old west theme they have going on is awesome! Then you go inside the selection of guns is unbelievable, and the staff was unlike anything i have ever experienced. They WANT to help you and make you feel welcome! All i have to say from here is that i WILL recomend them in the future and WILL return! Thanks for your input! :) :) :)

If you like it now you should have seen it back in the day! Maybe my memory just isnt that good... but as a kid I would go there all the time with my dad and it seemed to be a more impressive place back then. Regaurdless it is still a worth the trip.

Go back to your elementary school gym and you will also notice that the ceilings are half as high and in the classrooms the desks are half as big.

You're just all grown up now!

Glad Ahlmans lived up to what everyone said.

I've done that, and it's amazing how small everything has gotten since I went to school there.

dogan529, you really need to put the Shooter's Roundup on your calendar for 2012, it's a "blast"! I see on their web site, that they're having quite a few zombie shoots next year, too.

Ahlmans Laser Engraving?

I bought two guns from Ahlman's in the last year. Very friendly, knowledgeable and they will match any price around. It's a cool place to check out.

Well how did you think they did their laser engraving, the shark tank is in the back room.

From the Twin Cities, go south on I-35 to Faribault. Take MN Hwy 60 west to Morristown.

That's the easy part. Like Stoley_XD says, follow the signs, but I think there should be a little more of an explanation.

Just as you come up to Morristown, there will be a big sign on the left saying "5000 Guns" - turn right immediately. When the sign is on the left, turn right.

Take that road about 1-2 miles north. As it curves to the left, there will be a gravel road on the right. Turn onto that gravel road. Straight ahead, maybe a quarter of a mile, you'll see what looks like a big house. There's a cannon in the front yard - that's the place.

Drive in, and the store will be on your left. The shooting range is on the right, and looks like old-west store fronts. The "back yard", which is closed most of the time, is where all the cool stuff happens - trap leagues, zombie shoots, the Shooters Roundup, etc.

The part of Morristown that you'll see on this little journey is relatively small. It's a nice dam town - their summer festival is even called Dam Days (there's a dam on the river there). Anyway, Ahlman's is outside of town, and the first time I went there many moons ago, I thought I missed it. The signs are much better than they used to be, but it still might look a little strange the first time you go there.

Thanks! Details are always helpful! Sounds like about a 1.5-2 hour drive for me.

Morristown used to have an army surplus store too if you needed somewhere else to stop. Not sure if its still there though.
