Interesting....I didn't think it was possible to insert a magazine backwards in ANY pistol. Guess I haven't seen every model out there... :)

Now wait a minnit!! If you load the mag backwards, and then insert the mag in the gun backwards, the boolits will be pointing forward and feed just fine!!

Just kidding!!!

I just traded my 709 slim for a 740 slim, same gun different cal., so upon reading this post I went to see how this cold be done, first I dropped a round backwards into the chamber, looks just like the picture, then I tried to stuff a mag in backwards and it was a no go,only about halfway. There was no way cartridges would have fed out of the mag backwards.
Next I tried loading the cartridges in the mag. backwards and this worked slicker than snot and they fed right out of there with a flick of the thumb.
They either had a loose rnd. in there or one in the mag. backwards. (just my conclusions).

Naahhhh... From the description of the uncomprehending stare that these people gave the OP, I think it's highly likely they were totally clueless and loaded the whole mag backwards.... :wack: :wack: :wack: :wack: :wack:

Exactly why public ranges make me nervous. All it takes is one idiot and one round...

Agreed, besides, if the mag was in backwards I don't think the slide would be able to strip a round. They can go in the mag both ways, but they can only come out of the front.
