According to this, he's polling 7% under Obama head to head. So if he is polling best of all the republicans... yeah. Sorry, but my money is on Obama. Strictly on a financial level, of course.
Yes that poll is true.....somewhat......but it is the AVERAGE of all polls taken over the last ??? 6 months??? 9 months??? It also doesn't include a handfull of polls, that may mean much more than the ones included....The way you take a poll, and what people you include matters.....with Ron Paul being an unconventional candidate, one needs to include unconventional samples in their poll...
take for instance, most Repuplican nomination polls only include likely Republican voters.....ERROR! Ron Paul will have about 10% of his supporters being DEMOCRATS, and also about 25-30% UNLIKELY voters.....people who don't normally vote in primarys and casucuses will be attending to support Ron Paul. Revolution Pac comissioned a poll, that was based on turn out for Ron Paul in 2008, and sampled those people, and he is winning in Iowa. There have been 1 or 2 other polls that took the initiative to acurately sample projected turn out in the caucuses and primarys, by using models based on 2008 turn out for Ron Paul (which will actually underestimate the turn out for him in 2012).....all have concluded that Ron Paul is actually in much better shape than traditional polls show.
Take a look at the individual polls....and see how he started out way behid, and is slowly creeping upward.....and currently polling dead even, slightly behind, or slightly ahead of Obama....Trends matter, and the trend for Ron Paul looks VERY, VERY good....
Examine the trends on Google, with search fields of the candidatees names.....the candidates names plus IOWA, the candidates names plus New Hampshire...
Examine where the money is coming from in Pauls camapaign compared to the others.
I realize he is portrayed as the long shot, and he may be....somewhat....now....steady wins the race, and Ron Paul's growth in popularity is steady and true...Obama is only going to LOOSE support between now and the general.....(unless we nominate Gingrich)
Obama's bandwagon is allready at capacity.....infact it is a little crowded, and a lot of people are uncomfortable being on it, and is search of a better bandwagon. The Obama bandwagon is like going on a hayride with a bunch of people from the old folks home. Ron Pauls bandwagon has sufficient room to accomidate more, and they are having a party on it! There are party favors, doritos, popcorn, hot apple cider. There is freedom and liberty for all over on the Paul bandwagon. People are singing christmas songs, drinking and being marry.... People are cheerful, hopefull, can see a future for America that is much better than today.
