Started looking at 1911's. Went to Bill's south and rented 2 (recommended by the counter guy, can't remember who but was curly haired younger average height, was very helpful on the 2 to try for carry/ccw). First was 4 inch Kimber, second was 3 inch Para. Fired 2 shots out of the para, and hated it. Fired 48 shots out of the Kimber, and other than the one casing that bonked me on the forehead (mental note, wear a friggin' baseball cap next time), loved it. So my question is after looking around upstairs, holding a bobbed Dan Wesson as well as a few others (and the Dan Wesson felt like it was molded from my hand), I'm left with this question what's the difference between the Dan Wesson and the Ed Brown? One better than the other? Or will this start another debate similar to the never ending and always flaming caliber debate?
1911 Fan quote in memoirium about carrying:
The purpose of a firearm in a defensive situation is to make the other guy leak from holes he was not born with. Your job is to install those orifices for him.
