Just an excuse

Postby MissouriDave on Sun Dec 25, 2011 6:39 pm

Well, I just sold my Marlin 25N with a Nikon scope to my future brother in law. :thankyou: He liked it, I liked having an excuse to build another 10/22 which is why I told him I sold it to him. So now I have to go out and get a good 10/22 receiver and start work. Just my luck.

What are the options for 10/22 receivers? I'd like to build one too so I wouldn't be going out and buying a complete rifle.

Nodak Spud makes them in several flavors.

I think that Volquartsen also makes them,

Does NoDak Spud act as an FFL dealer, or does it still need to be shipped to a dealer?

If you have even a little bit of machining knowledge, these are great. If you buy their fixtures you could easily do the work on a good drill press.

It all depends on what you want it to be. This next one is going to have a KIDD receiver, bolt and.... lightweight barrel... I think. I really like the Green Mountain barrels, esp the fluted 16" 920 bbl. I guess we will see when we get there.

Probably the Revolution Yukon extreme stock. Already have one and like alot.

Has to be shipped to a dealer. Unless it's an 80% finished blank like the RAZOR linked above.

I need to shore up my bank account. Like the man said, "I've got to get one of these." Thanks for the info and links. I'll be price shopping.
I like my freedom. It came at a high price to many before me, and I will honor them by keeping said freedom intact.
