I LOVE the DE .50!! Lots of real world uses, most notably taking to the range and having the muzzle blast sweep all the target shards into nice little piles, and having loose stuff from the ceiling tiles fall all over the place. It's almost more fun to offer it to other shooters and watch some of them accept the offer to fire it and others to cower in the corner in fear.

If I didn't reload for it that would change things, but since I do....34.0g of H110 with the IWI 300g bullet is great fun. And you really don't need a two hand hold, despite what DE says. I've had it not quite go into battery but only with .44 mags, not .50's.

I've never had a plan going into a year on what I was going to purchase... and most purchases were done in about a month... research, saving money, and purchase.

But right now I'm thinking about trying out a .380... maybe a Walther PPK/S, SIG 232, or Bersa Thunder.

I'm looking to get my permit to purchase mailed to me, and then I'd like to purchase my first handgun on my birthday (as of now i'm liking the 3" Ruger SP101.) I'm also planning to get my carry permit after i put many hundred of rounds through the revolver. Older .22's are not planned, but come home with me all too often. I'd like to find a good deal on a used 870 and make a home defense shotgun.
