New From St. Cloud

Postby DirtyHarry on Sat Jan 07, 2012 4:20 pm

Good to find such a great forum!

S&W .44 Mag (thus the name)
Benelli 12 ga

Looking to purchase (very soon) a .40 or .45 to carry. Been leaning towards a XD45 compact, or possibly a Glock 23. Will be heading to Bill's to try many I'm sure.

Any owners of these 2 that have feedback (positive and negative)??

Thanks!

So I gotta ask yah, did you fire 5 times, or was it six? Sorry I have the entire Dirty Harry DVD collection. Welcome to the forum!

I don't have any Springfields. I do have several Glocks, never a problem, never a jam. Goes bang every time, and with practice they are way more accurate than most would expect.

"Go ahead, Make my day" - stay with the 44 Mag for CCW.

Welcome! I'm a fan of the XD myself but either is a good weapon. As another option I think someone on the board is selling a .500 S&W with a 4.5" barrel. :)

Welcome to the forum. Go with whatever you shoot better. I'm personaly also an XDm fan. I first bought a XDm 3.8 compact, I liked that so much I sold my HK USP and bought an XDm 5.25. Nothing against Glock, I used to own one (for a very brief peiod), it just didn't work for me.

Welcome from Savage!
The XD45c is a nice size gun and great to shoot. But the Glocks are great too.
So are the M&P's.

Thanks all! Carry a big ol' 44, huh? I am a big dude, but not sure I want to do that at this point. I'll start out with an itsy bitsy .45 for now. With lots of practice (fun) first! Thanks again, hope to see some of you at the range!
