It was January, a couple of years ago, when I came across a fresh roadkill yearling. No damage. Hit in the head.
Well  It was the perfect temps out, where the deer would just keep warm enough not to freeze.
So---over the next couple of weeks, instead of butchering the entire deer at once, I would take off the backstraps, then one hind quarter at a time, and feed my hungary family fine venison dinners.
My Wife thought that it was deer harvested that fall, until she saw the carcass in the back woods.

Never saw her so pissed. :hammer: :hammer:
Along with some other words, I think that "Iron Range Redneck" was said a few times also.

Sometimes it sucks to be a "provider"

Hmm, for some reason, this concerns me. Tell me if my fears are unfounded.

Wish I could. That's just apparently how the law works. Not saying it's right, but it's how the courts have ruled.

The DNR issues possession tags for car-killed deer. No need to hide it in the woods.

Never hid it, except from my "Boss". ;)
