I picked up a case of PBR tallboys on the way home from work just to pay homage. Nice work.... now I'm off to drink beer and gouge out my own eyes after watching the barrel stub flute video routine.

that cheap rusian war time metal cuts like butter. the "stainless" of the bolt cuts as if it's a biece of brass wrapped around an aluminum core. pretty easy stuff to work with.

i cut the barrel to 19" from the breech face - legal minnimum is 16". i purposely left it a little long as i'm not 100% which method i'm going to use to square/crown and thread the barrel so i wanted to leave myself steel safe in case i fugger something up. an SBR stamp is going to seriously hurt my budget for the build

Thread the barrel? Just drill speed holes in it for a comp/brake!

DOH! i should have tried that before i chopped it! just drill 4 or 6 1/4 holes through and through - sideways though, unless you want to make the worlds ultimate zippo!!!
