Thinking about a Kahr cw9 any comments or complaints about them?
When asked why I carry a gun I reply "because a cops to heavy"

The magazines suck IMO, plus a buddy of mine just had to send one back due to serious peening issues

I love mine, it use to be my daily carry. They are very accurate for how small they are.

I've got one and I think it's a pretty good gun. In my opinion the plus side is that it's a very slim 9mm - not much bigger than many .380's, very easy for carry, good shooter, and fits my hand nicely. On the negative side I agree that the magazines are hard to load and my biggest complaint is that you can't load the first round by racking the slide manually which as I understand it is a result of the magazine design. You have to lock the slide open, insert the mag, then press the mag release otherwise it will not have enough force to feed the round. I guess technically it's not a 'problem' because that's how Kahr recommends loading it in their manual but I just don't like it.

I have a CW9 and a P9. I carry one, the wife carries the other. I've never had a issue with either of them and both will chamber the first round by either dropping the slide or racking it as long as you dont ride the slide. Maybe it depends a little on ammo? My Kahr P380 is a little ammo sensitive, but both of the 9's have been great.
I have not had any issues with loading mags either. They are about the only guns I normally load without using my UpLula loader.
Other than the fact that I like the blackened slide on my p9 better, I can't tell a difference in shooting the CW vs. the P. The triggers and accuracy of both are great.

+1
Mrs. C. and I use the Uplula on her CW9 though. The feed lips tend to wear two grooves in my thumb otherwise. Good littler shooter, I'm trying to convince the Mrs. that we need another.

i have been a kahr junkie for a while now - i absolutely love them. used to carry a glock 27 (40 cal sub-comp) in the pocket and a H&K USP 40 compact int he waistband. now i run a Kahr PM45 for the waistband and a PM9 in the pocket.

light, accurate, as small as they come without dropping $1200 a weapon, smooth doube action only with no external safetys.- everything i look for in a carry weapon.

the ONE thing i don't like that much about them - the front checkering on the grip is in my opinion too agressive. they aren't comfort machines. they're built to be sonsealed and do the job once they are un-consealed. you won't be putting 500 roudns a day thorugh them at the range and be happy about the condition of your mits

two options if it bothers you that much - knock it down with a sander/dremel/sandpaper or get a grip sleeve.

long story short: Kahr = Shippy approved. word.
i do what i can, where i'm needed, and i ask so little in return. i'm a true humanitarian fueled by rainbows and whiskey. you should be so lucky to know me...

Love the Kahrs.
We sell quite a few and I have carried the PM9, K9, & K40.

A few small differences between the C & P/K models.
The P & K models have the polygonal rifling, slide lock lever machined from
solid stainless and more time spent detailing the slide, and they come with 2 mags.

Although I prefer the stainless frame, for the money I recommend the C models and buy another mag.
The internals are the same. The triggers are awesome.

i've tried just about every Kahr there is for rental at Bill's, and i have to say they are nice! i have a few issues with how gritty they can feel, but shooting 'em knocks that down a lot. the slide release is pretty tough when new, but they all are. every customer that says they want a gun exclusively for carrying i point to the Kahr line of fine firearms

Love my Kahr's... (PM9 and MK9), I carry one or both daily.

The CW9 is a very popular choice and people generally flat out love them. One thing to consider, they are tight... follow the prep and lube charts on KahrTalk.com and you'll have one of the best carry guns on the market in my opinion.
