Sometimes I OC. The comments I have gotten, and not many, were all favorable and inquisitive. The only time I was ever "lectured" about open carry was when I was doing so at GS. Not by an employee but by a customer. Strange as it may seem, I was in a rare good mood, so I didn't carry on any argument.

I think my shirt might've ridden up after my kid's high school band concert last night. I caught one guy staring.

I hate when that happens.

I hope your holster wasn't empty. ;)

Open carry if you want... but the last thing ya want is some ninja sneaking up behind ya, bonking ya over the head and taking your heater!

A ninja can do that regardless of how you carry, that is an issue more related to being aware of your surroundings. Didn't you learn anything in your Ninja & Zombie Defense Training?

4. Want to be the first target in any self defense/hostile situation? I don't.

I've never really agreed with this statement. Criminals in my opinion and from what I have seen, don't care about the harsh consequences, but the chance of them getting caught. Now while a criminal may rob a gas station, it will get attention and the police will look into it. But what can they really do? Check security footage and any possible DNA that was left? Now when he walks in and sees someone open carrying, calculations change. If he murders the holder, now police are not only looking for armned robber, but also, murder. More evidence is left behind and it's a higher priority. Just how I see things though.

1. Open Carry Breakfast.
2. Conversation starter.
3. You have the choice, and/or right.
4. Quicker draw.
5. An assailant is less likely to accost someone who obviously can defend themselves.

And I'm am sure there are many other rational reasons that have not been identified yet.

I'm off the opinion that there is not ONE good reason to open carry EVER. Here's why.

Based on your opinion, there is also not one good reason for law enforcement to openly carry either.

Haha. A ninja can't do that if he doesn't know it's there though! ;)

FYI, I skipped the Ninja & Zombie defense training. I was at the strip club looking at boobies instead.

Sounds like you should join Heather and get any gun rights overturned.

So, let's get to it.

I'm off the opinion that there is not ONE good reason to open carry EVER. Here's why.
1. Like talking to cops? I don't.
2. Like having those cops point guns at you? I don't.
3. Like ignoring "we hate guns" signs? I do.
4. Want to be the first target in any self defense/hostile situation? I don't.
5. Like being stared at and judged by the general ignorant public? I don't.

These are just my top five.

Agree or disagree.......

SHOOT! (pun 100% intended)
