Suppressor

Postby justaguy on Wed Feb 22, 2012 8:40 pm

So in anticipation of the suppressor ban being lifted. We all know it will happen some day......

What is everyone going to suppress first?

Obvious choice for me is the G21 or 30.

$200 donation to the ATF
$300ish for the Bar-sto threaded barrel
$800ish for the ACC TIrant or Osprey

$1300ish to save my hearing is well spent!!!

First - probably my 10-22 and or MKII. After that I would like a 300 whisper upper. That's probably all I can afford for now. I just hope it gets lifted!

What makes you think the ban will ever be lifted?

Here is the 7mm mag he did.

Is this legal?(where suppressors are legal?) It is an after market mod that you can get fitted to your rifle (therefore it can be removed)

Probably a .22 sparrow for the 10/22 and soon the 22/45.

I suppose in the perfect world everything would be supressed but I'm fine with it just being legal.

You all are some spenders?

Does anyone already have threaded barrels? Or is that going to be added to the price of the "build"?

since you only gain 30 dB reduction, I think I'll still use hearing protection.

Interesting that it only goes from 160ish to 130ish dB in noise.

Ruk, I've got a cnc turning center that I'd have running if I could make cans right now. Since I can't, I haven't spent the money or put forth the effort to repair it.
