'Nother complete AR in the stable.

Postby WolfTrack on Wed Mar 07, 2012 5:35 am

I finally finished my Moto/KISS Build:
Lower is a highly personalized Territorial Gunsmiths lower
LPK is Double Star
Stock is a CavArms C1
Pistol Grip is Cav Arms
BCM 16" Standard Middy Upper
BCM BCG
BCM/VLTOR Gunfighter Mod 5 CH
DD A1.5 BUIS
Cav Arms C8 handguards
All furniture is Cav Arms' Dark Earth

I had debated replacing the upper receiver with an A1/C7 with an A2 aperature.
I opted to stay with BCM's flat-top and a DD A1.5, to have a little flexibility if I decide on going beyond KISS in the future.
Lower receiver is coated in DuraCoat, in their WWII OD Green.
I kinda want to have the upper receiver sprayed to match.
Part of me just wants to leave it and be happy (and just shoot the thing)

The bayo is Ontario Knife Company's OKC3S Marine Combat Bayonet

Nice build.

Question, where'd you get the Multicam cloth backdrop? Is that a tarp?

Thank you.

It's MarPat pattern fabric. My wife got it for me a few years ago at a fabric store.

me too. well, mine would have to say "ERRONEOUS CORPORAL" or just the two chevrons and a big OOPS!

i really, REALLY like that lower. i mean to the point where i'd probably go buy one just because they're so damn awesome. however, i don't know about the selector markings, mainly because OOH-RAH is one of the most annoying noises i've heard in my life. however, i DO like the "GET SOME" engraving. maybe for semi it should say "ONE SHOT" for safety it should just say "SAFE".

i'd be interested to find out where he (or anyone else for that matter) got the correct dimensions for the Eagle Globe and Anchor.

oh, and Ninja, i haven't done **** with those grips yet. sorry man

I did the engraving.

I was the engraver while Territorial was producing lowers a couple/few years ago.
I had a little artistic freedom with my personal lowers, and some for customers.

I got the Eagle Globe & Anchor from a basic image search. It started as a picture of a decent line image. I cleaned it up so it was more useful with the program for the CNC router I was using, to what you see above.

There are some engravers that won't touch that sort of piece since the Marine Corps trademarked most things Marine Corps, logo-wise.

I agree, that lower is pretty awesome.

Here's the other side of the lower:

Ok, did you photochop the SN out or did they not add one?

Numbers are approximate/rounded:
upper~ 400
BCG~ 140
CH~ 45
R.Sight~ 65
Furniture w/
hardware~125
LPK~ 55

Lower receiver~ priceless
As above, I worked for Territorial while they were producing lowers. I did the DuraCoat on the lower whilst I worked there too.

Without the lower, I get about $830 before shipping.
I've pieced this one together over about 2 1/2 years.
