Check the screw holding the ejector spring (affectionately referred to as the "Frankenbolt"). If that is loose you will have troubles no matter what ammo you use or how stiff your grip is. I check the screw every time I clean it. If it is loose I back it out and apply blue locktite and then screw back in tight. I have had to do that 3 times (about every 1,000 rounds). If you have larger hands like I do, then the +1 grip extension is a God send. It will feel and act like a totally different gun. You can get them direct from Keltec for about $14 plus shipping and they only take about three days to show up at your doorstep.

Love the size of pf9. Hated pretty much everything. Between shooting it and the pinky pinch I was done with it.

Well, tried a box of Federal ammo. Still fails to eject about 3 times per magazine. Went back to WWB and was twice as bad..........................

This gun's going back!

I just took mine out today and put 100 flawless rounds through it. It was just Rem 115gr fmj. I sprang for the metal guide rod from keltec for 8 bux and also put a handel jr grip sleeve on it to help control the recoil and make it more comfy. Also cleaned it good before hand.
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

Did you have someone else shoot it or a bit? Preferably a seasoned shooter?

There's a real possibility that it is an error in the organic interface between the ground and the trigger.

Just sayin'. ;)

Kel-Tec has pretty good designs but the final products are pretty ruff. The fluff and buff, or a long break in period is generally needed.

I am so using this line at work. I have plenty of equipment issues where the organic interfacing is not performing to spec.

The doctor who suggested transcortical lead therapy for a treatment plan should get a kick out of it.

I have had a PF9 for a year and have shot a variety of ammo through it without a single problem. FMJ, hollow points, Hornady Critical Defense, WWB have all functioned properly. The gun does require a locked wrist. While the recoil is not like a .357 being a short barrel, it is quite rapid, or snappy, which needs a firm grip. The rails and outside ot the barrel need to be cleaned well and lubed a bit.

I also have a P3AT which has also functioned flawlessly since the first box of Fiocchi that I used to break it in.

Before you pawn off this paperweight, I would be willing to break in your pistol. Unfortunately this will take a few months. You supply me with the 5000 rounds of various 9mm ammuntion for vigorous testing, and I will return your pistol in six months with a full report on whether any paper escaped.

Lifetime Warranty, it's going to Kel-Tec, maybe they can fix it? OR, just send a new one! lol ;)

Text size of my screen is too small--I read that as "rare detective model" and was scratching my head.
