Ghillebear2000 on HKpro can do quite a bit with HK rifles. He built a couple of my MP5s and he has done many others as well.

Awesome. Any of you with the hk clones ever have the fte issue? It seems to not eject or extract properly I end up with a mangled round and a spent case jammed up inside. I read some posts that were twelve years old explaining that a fix can be done by bending the extractor spring. I think what's happening is it's not extracting the spent casing leaving it in the chamber and grabbing another round which slams up against spent case and mangles the new round up. The extractor spring was recently replaced by my friend whom I purchased this from.

Now I used some hot loads I made a several months ago and had a much better success rate, maybe 1/60 fte where with store bought or lighter loads were more like 1/4 fte.

I've found the HK94 to be super easy to work on. If you don't want to do it yourself, then Ryan at Bill's will do just as good a job as anyone else. There shouldn't be any difference between an SW5 and an HK, either. I think Todd used HK trigger parts when he assembled all the SW5s. Don't quote me on that, but I seem to recall that being one of the selling points.

And keep in mind, the MP5 and the HK94 have different trigger assemblies, so don't confuse the two, or you might get the wrong parts. MP5 parts are readily available, and there are a few of them that won't work in a 94 or SW5. The semi-auto SW5 is a clone of the HK94, not the MP5.

A new extractor spring has been fitted and you still get 1/60 FTE with hot loads and 1/4 FTE with big box loads. The likely failure points I can think of are the ejector lever, ejector spring, hammer spring, and/or magazines.

You can get the latest generation ejector lever and a new ejector spring at HKparts.net: http://www.hkparts.net/shop/pc/9mm-Ejec ... -88p58.htm

If I recall correctly a lot of the clones have the wrong hammer spring installed. You will want the latest generation 9mm hammer spring found here: http://www.hkparts.net/shop/pc/HK-9mm-H ... -88p64.htm

Your magazines could be the other problem. Basically the cheap ATI/Korean mags you want to avoid unless you can't afford the HK or MKE mags. I've always had feeding issues with the cheap Korean mags. If you use HK or MKE mags though that is 99.9% of the time not going to be the problem.

The clones can work just as good as the original German HK's or the Turkish MKE's, it just takes some parts swapping to get them running 100%. Just make sure to keep enough US made parts in the gun to stay 922r compliant. The following link has a decent explanation of 922r and more importantly how it relates to the HK 94/MP5 style firearms. http://gunwiki.net/Gunwiki/BuildMP5VerifyCompliance

If you have any more questions I can try to help, just let me know.

Thanks for the info. The mags I have are not HK they are something else cannot tell looks like the manufacturer name is stamped out, but there is a lot of slop when the mag is in the well, up and down and front to back. I noticed if I pull the mag back and release the bolt it jams up a round. If I leave the mag alone it chambers perfectly, but with recoil while shooting that mag must be bouncing causing the feed issue. Crappy cause I bought these mags off of keepshooting thought it said hk mags but I misread, said they were for the hk. Before I spend the cash on the hk mags I'm gunna see about trying one out before hand. Thanks for the info

Ghillibear is the best choice.

Well the mags were the trick, used a Korean model a MKE and HK mag and they all feed prefectly with no issues. So I'm happy about that. Thanks for all the help guys!

I know the best guy in Minnesota, but he is going through an illness right now. I'll ask him next week if he is taking on any business. He keeps all the machine guns at Bill's in working order.

Squib Joe can attest to his competence.
