Dillon 550B press with accessories. Wish I had the cash. Craigslist link: http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/s ... 53630.html

Not my listing, just a heads up. :geek:

Yep, I'm meeting him in a while to take a look and hopefully bring it home, figured the same press + parts at Gunstop or Dillon.com would run me close to $600 new, this one sounds pretty low miles.

I was just debating this morning how to fix my consumption vs production gap on 38 special ammo for my wheelgun + lever action now that summer is here, plenty of supplies to reload but short on time to put it together... this should be the ticket.

Consider it SPF, I've spoken with the seller and we have a meeting set up to take a look and hopefully make the deal in a little while. I'll let you know if something falls through, I'm not really after the shell catcher or scale if someone wants me to pick it up for them (and can pick it up this weekend on the north side of town).

Sweet, guy just called me to tell me someone showed up and purchased it out from under me without offering me a chance to at least counter or run out and pick it up first myself...

Congrats to someone, not how I would do business but I guess cash is king... if it's someone else here may the fleas from 1000 camels infest your nether regions.

Lesson - if someone asks, it been bought and picked up...

My own fault, don't chat up a deal of the sort until you've closed it, should have set up the meet earlier and found a way to make my way out for an hour or two... I might just run to Gunstop and buy a new one. I was pretty pumped up to have a press I can turn out enough ammo to keep up with my rate of consumption and even my wife seemed to agree it was a decent value (!) when I showed her what it would cost to supplement with store purchased ammo.

Then it's time to run, not walk, to Gunstop. Before anyone changes their mind. ;)

I picked up my Dillon 550b at Gunstop on Friday and cranked out a few hundred rounds of powderpuff .38 specials using a load and measurments I'd worked up previously for my revolver/lever action. I did stop and check-re check measurements, feed-tested dummy rounds and validated powder drop throughout which slowed me down a bit, but was ultimatley unneccesary as the results were so consistent. While I was honestly intimidated at first I had the thing up and running in less than an hour (with a 5 minute primer from John) fresh from the box and it is FAR easier to set-up and operate than I expected. I'm kicking myself for not making the jump sooner.
