The Elk River Monday nights are great, I try to make most of them as long as it’s not super hot/humid. You better get your stuff together if you want to play this year, they have a mandatory orientation on the 9th and another mandatory equipment check the week after on the 16th You wouldn’t believe how many rifles are inaccurate to the point where they are simply not capable of shooting 300-600 yards and keep every bullet on target. Also many people quickly find that they do not have enough adjustment in the optic system to reach out that far, this all shows up in the equipment check and is why it’s so important that you attend these first two meetings, Both nights are free of charge.
We have some great guys working in the F-Class crew. This past year ERSC members took the top 3 spots in the F-T/R division at the state midrange championships, also another ERSC member took first place In the Open division, 4 out of 6 aint bad, especially considering that’s not counting another 6 or so that routinely shoot 200’s with high X counts.
If anyone needs more info I can put them in touch with guys running it, you would not need a rifle for the first meeting, I know that, it’s mostly a intro explaining how the scoring works, how to run the targets, and other general knowledge about what to expect when playing the 300-600yd game.
