Ran two mags through my Gen 4 17 FDE today. After reading the thread about these guns on AR15.com, I got concerned about ejection issues. I noticed that the casing are ejecting almost straight up and into me. I was hit in the head by a few of them, maybe she doesn't like me  . Has anyone else shot theirs? If so, did any of you experience the same issue? I have not has this with any of my previous Glocks.

Is this problem supposed to be with all G4 guns? Because changing the color of the polymer shouldn't do that...

No idea. Just read it was with the FDE run, maybe they used different ejectors? I will try putting in a different ejector from another Glock to see if that works.

My wife would buy a pink G19 in a heartbeat.

This problem effects gen 4 9mm guns. Again most don't have issues but there have been enough issues that Glock has accepted this and is working toward resolving gen 4 problems. Sometimes the new ejector helps and sometimes it does not. The FDE glocks should have the new ejector. Personally I am not ready to get some gen 4s till the issues have been solved and the gen 4's gain back some of the hallmarks of the previous generation pistols.

You can have a GLOCK in any color you want.
As long as that color is black.

I have about 900 rounds through a gen4 26 and as of this morning, 150 through a gen4 17. No troubles whatsoever....but then again, they aren't FDE :)

nice play on Henry Ford.
i guess that (in my most HUMBLESTLIER of opinions) that if Glock wanted to do something to cosmetically change these guns, they could carve out some sort of profile on the slide, instead of the squared off BRICK that it is. THAT would be different! hell, if they were to alter the grip angle, they could probably tap into the market of the anti-Glock 1911ers out there. maybe. well... maybe not. but it'd be cool to see them try ;)
saying that guns kill people is like saying that spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat.

Hmmmm, they quoted me $679.00 over the phone last week. That $629.00 is 100 bucks more than I paid for my GEN4 17FDE.......CRAZY!
