I discovered this site a short time ago and it is great. I recently applied for my permit to purchase and am looking forward to purchasing my first handgun. I've been shooting since I can remember with my grandpa and other family members and am looking forward to continuing that on my own and with my friends that shoot.

I'm a Lefty so I've been looking at a m&p . A friend of mine recently got a sp2022 9mm. We shot it last week and I like it but I'd prefer to have ambi slide release/decocker/mag release/safety (whatever combination of those features the pistol offers).

I know the cz85 is fully ambidextrous and I've read up a little on the bersa thunder pro too. Bill's has a used px4 compact available now too that has ambi slide release and safety.....So I guess I pretty much have no idea what I want yet...lol.

I should probably start a new thread for this but what are your thoughts on buying used VS new? I can venture a guess as to what might be said about this but I still don't know what's best for me....

Don't overlook the FNX series (9, 40) from FN. They're also completely ambidextrous (slide release, safety AND mag release).
