Ron Paul won MN!

Postby Jeff Bergquist on Wed Apr 25, 2012 6:23 am

From the City Pages news blotter:

Remember all that stuff you read about Rick Santorum winning Minnesota's February Republican presidential caucus?

Forget you ever saw it. Because last weekend, the Republican votes that matter the most were cast at Minnesota's district conventions, and Ron Paul won the majority of them.

Paul won 20 of the 24 national delegates decided last weekend. 13 more will be awarded at next month's statewide GOP convention, where Paul is also expected to do well.

The rest here:http://blogs.citypages.com/blotter/2012/04/ron_paul_actually_won_minnesotas_gop_presidential_primary_it_turns_out.php

ETA: Ooops, please move to off topic politics.

He's the guy who apparently is going to have a lot more delegates at the GOP national convention than most people figured.

Seriously? With no states carried and only what 50 deligates or so he is still "the guy"? Don't get me wrong Romney does not excite me but seriously the only other option is 4 more years of Obama so what do ya do?

He will carry MN and other states and have many more than 50 delegates. Could get more than 30 from MN alone. He will not win endorsement but will send a message.

Fine if it is about sending a message to the republican establishment. I thought someone was implying that he could carry MN in a Obama vs. Paul election.

I have seen polls that show Paul winning a head to head vs Obama.

What this is about is that the MN republicans will be endorsing Paul over mitt at the RNC.

What do I do? Personally, I write in Ron Paul. I'd MUCH rather have a Democrat get blamed for the coming collapse, than a "free market" Republican - even one who isn't, like Romney.

And as far as the delegate count goes, EVERYTHING you hear/ see/ read on any mainstream "media" source is completely made-up. In other words, they are LYING.

Ron Paul has won (just off the top of my head): Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, Colorado, Maine, and I think Alaska. Probably more. The race is NOT over.

And if it IS over, and Romney has won, then the establishment got their wish, and it's no choice at all. Romney will lose, not that it matters in the slightest, because even should he win Obama's terrible policies will continue, just as Bush's terrible policies have continued to this day under Commisar Obama.

I disagree with most if this and feel that this attitude is what is helping mitt to get elected. You are holding Paul back.

If one assumes he can't win the nomination, (still a pretty safe assumption) then it's all about trying to shape the debate and have an impact on the republican platform, and anyone who is dissatisfied with business as usual needs to send a message.
